Service Benefits:

  • Professionalism - FIREPRO is a professional service organization subscribing to the highest principles of professional ethics. We maintain a policy of confidentiality with respect to all matters of proprietary interest to our clients. Our only product is our consultation and engineering services. We do not have a financial interest in any fire protection product, system, or device.
  • Professional Fire Protection Engineers - The FIREPRO personnel assigned to projects include registered Fire Protection Engineers. In addition, several of these persons hold Masters of Science Degrees in Fire Protection Engineering.
  • Multiple Disciplines - FIREPRO's professional staff holds college degrees in the disciplines of engineering, architecture, and the physical sciences. Many have also had extensive practical experience in local fire services or the fire industry.
  • Continuity - FIREPRO has the capability to support your fire protection needs throughout a project. This allows for one point of contact regarding your fire protection concerns from the concept phase through design development, to overseeing installation and final acceptance.

  • Professional Network - Our staff maintains working relationships with the leadership of international engineering and fire safety organizations, and actively participates in those organizations, which include the Society of Fire Protection Engineering (SFPE), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI).

  • Codes and Standards - Our staff actively participates in the process of developing national and consensus codes and standards. This provides us with an understanding of the process, background, and intent of these documents. FIREPRO staff participate on these NFPA Committees:

  • Fire/Egress Modeling - Our staff is well versed in engineering and computer fire and egress models. This knowledge helps in developing and explaining equivalencies and alternatives to code and regulation requirements. The staff routinely utilizes these models to support engineering design and fire loss analyses. We participate on SFPE's Design Fire Task Group.

  • Fire/Building Department Relationship - FIREPRO has an excellent working relationship with the personnel in state and local fire prevention, fire service, building, and code making departments, and are working with these organizations on a regular basis.

  • Expert Network - FIREPRO maintains a network of experts who assist in their areas of specialty on an as-needed basis. Their specialties include forensic science; mechanical engineering; chemistry; flammable liquids and gases; electrical system design, inspection, and failure analysis; and fire and emergency medical services.

  • Testing Laboratories - FIREPRO maintains relationships with forensic engineering laboratories and recognized testing laboratories for analysis or independent testing support as needed.

  • Graphics Capability - FIREPRO has full-time, in-house graphics personnel familiar with numerous graphic packages including AutoCad. Our in-house graphics capability allows total control of the production process, reducing cost and turn-around time. Our reports and trial exhibits, including models, are enhanced by our in-house graphics capabilities.

  • Library & Information Access - FIREPRO maintains a continually expanding in-house library of thousands of fire related documents, codes, and standards. We also maintain contact with other fire related resource libraries and routinely access fire and engineering data bases available through the Internet.
